Dr Moorthy is a consultant Rheumatologist from University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, who received a silver award for his work in improving diagnostic delay, mainly focussed around research and collaboration with Ophthalmology.

• He has developed a formal axial SpA referral pathway with his colleagues in Ophthalmology, and informal versions with Dermatology and Gastroenterology.
• He has also delivered axial SpA training to Ophthalmology colleagues both within Leicester and across the midlands region.
• He has led and published a range of research projects both in the UK and internationally.
