Kathryn Rigler

Kathryn is a Rheumatology Specialist Physiotherapist working for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.  She has been awarded Bronze for her work on reducing the delay to diagnosis through education, data collection and pathways.

  • Through the Rheumatology Academy and Collaborative Network (RheumACaN) education program alongside Dr Chan, she works with her primary care colleagues to provide an integrated approach between primary and secondary care for increasing awareness of and improving referral pathways for axial SpA.
  • She has delivered education sessions about recognition and diagnosis of axial SpA to musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and pelvic health therapists.
  • She has co-written the local Best Practice Axial Spondyloarthritis pathway, is in line with national recommendations.
